HealthRules Enterprise Training & Run-the-Business Transition

Context
As UCare implemented the HealthRules system across Medicaid, Duals, and other lines of business, stakeholders needed structured, high-quality training to adopt new processes without disrupting operations.


My Role
Lead designer and owner for the HealthRules training strategy, responsible for:

  • Assessing stakeholder needs across Claims, Configuration, and other functions

  • Designing end-to-end training plans, curricula, and schedules

  • Delivering training and supporting trainers through multiple waves of implementation

  • Defining roles and processes for the transition from project trainers to ongoing “run-the-business” training owners

Actions

  • Developed HealthRules curricula, foundational learning, and role-based training paths

  • Facilitated training for CCO Claims and Configuration teams across multiple rounds

  • Created a standardized run-the-business training approach and TRC site for ongoing use

Impact

  • Completed training for all key stakeholder groups (Medicaid, Duals, CCO Claims & Config)

  • Established training processes, intake, and documentation that continue to support HealthRules as a core system

  • Strengthened readiness and confidence for teams adopting new workflows and system logic
